Snowmass Celebrates 50 Years
Throwback to the 60’s of fluorescent onesies and big hair with Vintage Lift tickets and retro themed parties as Snowmass celebrates its 50th anniversary this upcoming 2017/2018 season.
With the season scheduled to open Thursday, November 23rd 2017, Snowmass Tourism, together with Aspen Skiing Company and locals alike are creating a season long celebration in commemoration of the anniversary. Friday, December 15, 2017 marks Snowmass Ski Area’s 50th anniversary and to celebrate the day, Aspen Skiing Company is offering single-day lift ticket pricing of USD$6.50, the price that was charged on opening day in 1967. Other celebrations throughout the season include a retro party at Elk Camp, fireworks, vintage skiing and riding with a special Cabin Jump and Rail Jam.
