Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) Required For Kiwis Travelling To Canada
Citizens of countries who do not require a visa to enter Canada now need to obtain an eTA before flying, similar to the ESTA requirement for entry into the United States. New Zealanders are among those who require the eTA (Electronic Travel Authorisation), which is a new entry requirement for visa-exempt foreign nationals flying to or transiting through Canada. It is advisable to obtain your eTA as soon as you begin planning your trip and the best way to do this is by applying online at Canada.ca/eTA. You will need your passport, an email address and a valid credit card. A fee of CAD$7 applies to each application and the eTA is valid for 5 years or until your passport expires, whichever is earliest. See below for further details:
